Welcome to the Joplin ARC Buy/Sell/Trade site! To ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all members, please review and adhere to the following rules:

1. Account Verification

  • All members must have a verified account to participate. This helps us maintain a community free of bots and spam.
  • Verification may take up to 48 business hours as our volunteer admins review each request.

2. Posting Rules

  • Accurate Descriptions: Please provide clear, honest descriptions of all items for sale or trade, including any flaws or defects.
  • Pricing: Clearly state the price or terms of the trade. Negotiations should be conducted in a respectful manner.
  • Location: Indicate where the item is located and whether shipping is available, including any associated costs.
  • Photos: Photos of the actual item are required for all listings.
  • Part 97 Equipment: All amateur radio gear regulated under Part 97 must include the seller’s callsign in the listing.

3. Prohibited Items

  • The sale or trade of illegal items, weapons, hazardous materials, counterfeit goods, or any item that violates local, state, or federal law is strictly prohibited.
  • No items related to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or firearms are allowed.

4. Conduct & Communication

  • All communication must be respectful and civil. Harassment, bullying, or offensive language will not be tolerated.
  • Do not share personal information (phone numbers, addresses, etc.) publicly. Use private messaging for sensitive information.

5. Transactions

  • All transactions are conducted at your own risk. The Joplin ARC is not responsible for any disputes that arise between buyers and sellers.
  • We recommend meeting in safe, public locations for in-person transactions.

6. Reporting Issues

  • If you encounter any suspicious activity or believe someone is violating the rules, please report it to the admins immediately.

7. Admin Rights

  • Admins reserve the right to remove any post or account at their discretion if the rules are not followed.
  • Repeated violations may result in permanent suspension from the site.
